PROGRESSIVENESS OF REVELATION

Progress is when a thing moves from point to point forwardly. We are trained to achieve a state of oneness of faith in knowing Christ. Therefore, in the doctrine of Christ, we must speak one language regardless of the visions that various  denominations hold.

Progressive revelation is not same as correct revelation. One cannot progress in the revelation of Christ if there is a part to be corrected in such a revelation. For Jesus to permit your progress in His revelation, He makes sure He has made you a new bottle because your foreknowledge denoted an old wine in an old bottle.

There is no progress if errors are not corrected. For instance, in reading the stories of the apostles, we identify that apostle Peter did not want to mix with the gentiles because of his Jewish traditions. To apostle Peter, he was not progressing in such a revelation of Jesus Christ until apostle Paul corrected him. There is error and imperfection. You won’t find an error upon the authoritative inspiration of the Apostles but imperfect proclamation. St. Paul didn’t have a full revelation but imperfect revelation without error.

This generation must be in a higher revelation than St. Paul because of progressive revelation – so, it has progressed from where Paul left. Yet, there seems to be no huge steps because of errors in men teaching the doctrine of Christ. This generation has errors not imperfection. An error proves that you are not growing in the revelation of Christ. Imperfection proves that you are growing but not yet perfect.

When teachings come to show errors that we had in the church, it does not mean that we are progressing, nay, it alludes that we are corrected in revelation. If we be corrected by a right means, then we are ready to progress in revelation. If we are not progressing in revelation, then divinity within us has not begun to mature –divinity matures within a person under a perfect teaching of Christ.

We inherit and partake the divine nature under perfect revelation of Jesus Christ. Jesus said “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world…”, ‘the gospel of the kingdom does not just mean people to hear the Name of Jesus but the perfection of the mystery of the gospel to be unveiled.

The mystery of the gospel is not unveiled in correcting the revelation but in progressiveness of the revelation. When Jesus comes he should find no error in our walking in the path of Truth. Dispensation changes when we have corrected errors through Christ.
