Gen 2:9 “And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.”
Amongst other trees in the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It’s important to truly understand these trees, for they give a vision of what we truly believe in God.
The tree of the knowledge of good and evil caused sin and death. This was a tree of consciousness just as it was the tree of life. Therefore, these were the portals to open up the consciousness. For instance, God created animals, lights, creatures in the sea, etc., and these were portals to open up consciousness. This alludes to the fact that there are powers that can open up a dimension to you. These dimensions are different.
A further example: when man sinned, the portal that brought him close to God was the blood of animals. In this case, the blood was a portal that opened up the consciousness. The tree of life gives 12 kinds of fruits; that is to say, as man eats from the tree of life, he is activated and raised in 12 kinds of consciousness.
The tree of life explains dimensions, while the tree of the knowledge of good and evil explains a dimension. When Adam and Eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the dimension that was opened was that of the body, and from there forward, man knew that there is sin in the body.
For the tree (consciousness) of the knowledge of good and evil to be swallowed up in man, the tree (consciousness) of life must be included. The Tree of Life is of a higher reality, rejuvenating the image of God within man.
Finally, Adam was prohibited from eating from the tree of life after he ate from the one of knowledge because if he could eat later from the tree of life before reconciliation was done, he would be a ‘dead’ immortal, i.e., an immortal from a wrong source. The devil is immortal (limited to some degree), so he can give immortality, so Adam would have become immortal from a wrong source (the devil), so reconciliation was to be done foremost.

Proverbs 3:18 (KJV): “She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.”
Revelation 22:2 “In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”
